KOEDAMDESIGN was invited to work with Hydraulink Australia to develop the initial concept design for their Service Centres and showroom. Working with Hydraulink, we were briefed on the products to be sold and displayed and we proposed a concept design package which was developed into a full Design Guideline. Having previously worked on the fitout of 40 Pirtek Service Centres, KOEDAMDESIGN had design knowledge in this industry, although the Hydraulink design brief for their service centres was different in requirements and presentation from that of the Pirtek’s centres we had designed.
The Hydraulink Guideline was to be used for future service centres interior design fitouts and included all custom joinery components to be used in the design. All joinery components were CAD detailed to be used for future fitouts and included detailed typical floor plans, that were provided as part of a fitout package. All material, finishes, fixtures and furniture were specified for a typical fitout. This Guideline was compiled to keep each centre’s design fitout within their corporate guidelines.
The first service centre site in NSW was found and KOEDAM DESIGN initiated the planning and architectural drawings for the fitout of the centre. We worked in collaboration with our client and the fitout builder throughout all fitouts.
The Guideline was further developed as the first few service centres were rolled out. Further service centres were built in Sydney, including the corporate headquarters and warehouse in Smithfield, plus centres in Qld and Victoria.
KOEDAMDESIGN continues their work with Hydraulink Australia on a site to site basis.
We are proud of our design contribution to this major corporate company.
“ The corporate signature is as important as the final intended function of the space when finalising the concept design “
