KOEDAM DESIGN had previously worked on our client’s expansive family home, so when it was time to downsize we were called in to help make the process easier.
Our client asked us to help them finalise what items of furniture, artwork and decorator items they were to take with them to their new townhouse. We worked with our client on this list of items they loved and what would fit into the new scheme and also organised sending pieces to auction.
A new interior concept was created for our client’s new home & sanctuary. For our client, it was starting a fresh, but also keeping the pieces they loved and had an emotional connection too.
As some existing pieces of furniture were too big for the new home, items of furniture, such as lounges, were custom made and antique chairs were reupholstered in beautiful fabrics to compliment the new scheme.
Existing alfresco furniture was reinstalled in the covered courtyard, along with commissioning a fabulous one off glass mosaic panels and custom designed and made wrought iron mirrors by Artist Francessca O’Donnell of Out There Design & Mosaic.
“ For our client, this move was a fresh start for the future. It was important to retain the pieces that were loved and had an emotional attachment too “
