This business college had been open for nearly twelve months, when the director invited KOEDAM DESIGN ina few months before their official opening. We had a very short time frame to achieve this metamorphosis of the college.
The client felt that the spaces were bland. We had to agree, for an educational space with dynamic young people training in IT, childcare, psychology, sports, accounting and business, the spaces were grey, draining and uninspiring.
KOEDAM DESIGN proposedwe design new large format mural artworks for the spaces, as well as proposing accent wall colours and new artworks to corridors and the reception entry space. All murals were to incorporate inspirational words for the type of course taught in the lecture rooms.
Part of the brief was to redesign the entry and reception counter joinery.
“ A strong design vision is as important as the final intended function of the space when finalising the concept design “
